Decorating the Tree

Kierra put the tree up for us after Thanksgiving, but we didn't get around to decorating it until December 18th! We put our tree up downstairs, there is more room and no furniture has to be moved.

The Lights at Temple Square in Salt Lake

We went to see the lights at Temple Square the weekend after Thanksgiving, and compared the temperature now, I am really glad we did it early! Aaron, Joscelyn, Braxton & Madison went with us, we rode the trax up and back so we didn't have to deal with parking!

Kierra's friend Brianne went with us too. It was fun!

MY HOLD IT!!!

Alyse's new way of comunicating that she needs something is to say "MY HOLD IT" so when I was holding baby Damon Monday night, she just kept saying MY HOLD IT, so we gave her a turn. She wasn't really sure what to think when she was actually holding him!

Thanksgiving

We went to Thanksgiving at Kim's mom's house. It was great food, good company, and lots of discomfort (from engorging ourselves of course)

Twilight

I am posting this a little after the fact!! Kierra asked me several weeks ago if we could go see it with her friend Brianne and her mom, they had extra tickets for the first day, but the first day turned out to be MIDNIGHT on Thursday the 20th. I have NEVER gone to a midnight showing! It was fun, and the movie was engaging enough (not to mention the LARGE amount of caffeine in my system) to stay awake!
Of course the movie was not as good as the book (they never are) and the acting was second rate in parts, but overall it was worth seeing! I will probably watch it again when it hits DVD's!
I think most of the actors were cast right! Most people didn't like the choice for Edward, but I thought he was good, though at first I kept thinking Cedric Diggery! Perhaps I have watched that Harry Potter movie too many times! By the end I had forgot about that though!
I was dang tired the next day! I guess I am getting too old to not get my 8 hours! At least 6, and that night was more like 4 with an interuption in the middle (Alyse likes her milk at 5:30 am!)
I am now reading the second book, and quite like it so far (only on chapter 2.)
