12 years on the 12th

Kim and I celebrated our 12th anniversary this month! This was our invitation from our wedding, it seems like an eternity ago!
Marriage is a journey, and it has been great!
I am so happy to still be in love this far down the road!

End of Summer :(

I can't believe summer has ended! Just a few pics of the end!

Frightmares!!

On October 3rd Dena and I took the kids to Frightmares at Lagoon. It was PERFECT weather for it, by the end of the night we were wearing jackets, but we were not freezing like last year!
We ran into Jos & her crew there too, Alyse loved riding the rides with Madi!

Dalton was TOO big for this ride, but he got himself jammed in there for Alyse. She didn't like it at first, but by the end, she cried and cried when I took her off.

Braxton tried to take Alyse on this ride, but she wasn't having it! Madi was the ONLY one she wanted to ride with.

A Sec

So this weekend my baby (who is not so little anymore) did the funniest thing, I must tell her "Just a Sec" for just a second, quite often. She has this thing with shutting doors when she goes out of a room, she will smile and say "BaBye" but now she holds up one finger and says "a sec," it has to be the funniest thing I have seen in a while. She can't possibly know exactly what it means, other than you get my attention again in a bit. She knows it is funny and beams from ear to ear everytime she says it. She is so big!!!

Bear Lake Trip #2, August

We got the chance to return to Bear Lake for 5 days in August, and we jumped all over it! We went with Kelly, Kristy, & Killian. It was such a great trip, we had enough time there that we actually got some time to relax (Imagine that?)
Kierra didn't get to go with us because it was the first week of school, and she had a Mandatory practice for Twisters (the cheer group she LOVES) She stayed with Grandpa & Grandma Faulk, and was ready for us to come home, I guess she loves us more than she likes to admit!
Killian and Alyse did some cousin bonding on this trip, Alyse became softer and gentler with him, and he did everything he could to keep up with her (like warp speed army crawling) it was such a great trip!
After three years of boating I finally tried wakeboarding, and I totally bombed at it! It was just more realization that my kids are FAR more coordinated than me, they make it look so easy, but after many tries, and feeling like my arms were being pulled out of their sockets, I gave up. I just have to say, it is a good thing I tried it in a lake as clean as Bear Lake, because I probably downed a gallon of water with all the crashing!!


This was our condo at Ideal Beach, it was nice, very seventies, with no AC, but it was a really fun place to stay, they have nice grounds, and pools and jacuzzi's for those chilly bear lake nights!

Though I can't wakeboard, it was a record breaking trip for Dalton. He has always had Kim in the water helping him get up, but when he went down, and Kim was really far away, we convinced him to give it a try without Dad, and he popped up on the first try! It was amazing!



Alyse was so fascinated by Killian's binkies, and we found one in the glove box from last summer, so she had to sit with Killy and put it in her mouth. She doesn't suck on it, she just bites it!
More beach time, she liked the seagulls!

Bear Lake, July 2008

On July 11 we headed to Bear Lake. We went with The Hardings, and Kelly & Kristy's family. We all stayed in a rental house that was close to Garden City.



Playing in the sand! Alyse LOVED the sand, she played, dug, (even ate) sand for a long time.

Dalton's friend Nick came with us, he and Dalton have "twinner" motorcycles, and they had alot of fun riding them next to the house we rented, and in the sand on the beach.

Nobody really likes my hat except me! I think it is great! It is so big Alyse even gets the benefit of the shade!
