We went to San Antonio this weekend for Aunt Eursle's (aka Grandma Jackson to some) 90th birthday! It was a great fun celebration! We saw lots of cousins we haven't seen in ages (which I didn't want to stun them with too many camera's, so I left that to my mom, and will have to add some of her pics later.)
Aunt Eursle and Alyse
Drake
Swimming at the hotel, it was about 9 at night and was still really warm!
Bri, Kelton, Drake, Alyse & Kierra on the riverwalk.
The riverwalk boats
Grandma and Grandpa with the kids.
The Riverwalk
Alyse was so excited about the new curls in her hair, done by a guy at on of the kiosk's trying to sell us a straightner! It worked!
CUTE!!
Kierra, Alyse and I at the Alamo.
Dena, her kids didn't want to be in the picture.
Alyse posed with me
Grandma Sue
Alyse loved this horse in a local hotel as much as ANYTHING we saw at the Alamo!
Kierra and Alyse
Dena trying to cheer up the "moody" teenager! She needs her middle finger BROKEN!!
This was Alyse when we stopped at Wal-mart, so just couldn't stand anymore!
Aunt Eursle, she is such wonderful, classy 90 year old!
Cousin Rebekah and Bethany and baby Isabella
Aunt Eursle and Charlotte
Rebekah's daughters Hannah and Sarah

Alyse was so tired by the celebration she slept in my lap through most of it!

Dena read a poem she had written to Aunt Eursle for our families!
Our Tribute…..
They say her hair was black once, but it’s nothing that we know,
‘Cuz at an early age it turned as light as falling snow.
And we believe it’s just because, God had to make it clear,
That White would be the color to display his Angels Here!
She has so many titles, as she’s in so many lives,
Mother, Sister, Aunt and Friend, a Daughter and a Wife.
She’s kindly earned by years of love and her great Character,
The favorites we’ll remember most, Dear Mom and Grandmother!
Through love and life’s sheer circumstance, she took our Mother in,
And treated her as if her own, an Angel once again!
And now we have adopted, what we claim to be our own,
Our Dear Sweet Grandma Jackson is the Queen upon our throne!
Our Southern Bell example, is a Lady nothing less,
Who never looks her age and always Dresses to her best!
She always has a lunch date, people want to share her time,
Though modest in this fact, Admirors aren’t hard to find!
She’s followed us our whole lives though, from babes until we’ve grown,
When some of us were Heathens she was there to make it known!
Encouragement was needed, as we tried to find ‘The Rod’,
She’d humbly say, so full of love, ‘Let Go, and Just Let GOD!
From Coffee Breaks to Sweet Rolls, how we’ve loved her company,
Her hearty Laugh, contagious Smile and Southern Drawl ‘Ya all see!’
But keep in mind the fact, that to her Values she is true,
And put you in your place she will, Politely thru and thru!
We hope she’ll know in this life, she’s left Footprints in our souls,
Though there’s a place in heaven for rewards, where she will go.
And there we know there’s loved ones, that will wait for her return,
To them we are so grateful that they let us have OUR turn!
We value cards and letters, that we spot from far away,
Her writing is so Thoughtful, Elegant in every way!
A Backward Hug we bring to you for Sharing Graciously,
And being the person in our lives YOU didn’t have to be!!
Happy Birthday Grandma Jackson
